That's why the Hastings Community Foundation started the Key Society in 2003. By combining resources, Key Society members make projects possible that improve the quality of life in Hastings. By everyone contributing a small annual fee, we’re able to fund some BIG projects, including the splash pad at Libs Park, the “Great Room” at the YWCA, and the pavilion at Lincoln Park.

We know that when you’re starting your career or have a young family, money can be tight. That doesn’t mean that you can’t take part in making a positive impact in our community. That’s why we’ve created Key YP, the Key Society for young professionals. You get all the same benefits of the Key Society, but with a reduced, tiered price.

Why Join Key Yp?

 Who wouldn’t want to be part of a group that funds projects that better the quality of life in Hastings! In addition to helping to make exciting things happen, you’ll receive publications and event invites from the Hastings Community Foundation, including some events that are exclusive to Key Society members. It’s a terrific and low cost way to start the tradition of charitable giving in your family.

How does key yp work?

It’s easy. Your one annual membership fee covers you and your entire household. You’ll receive full Key Society membership privileges starting the day you join. While traditional Key Society membership is $250 per year, Key YP members join at a reduced rate the first two years. Annual fee for Key YP memberships is:

-Year 1: $100

-Year 2: $175

-Year 3 (and beyond): $250

You may join Key YP anytime during the year and you make the decision to renew annually.

Key YP ELIGIBILITY

If you meet the following criteria, you’re eligible to join Key YP:

-Live or work in Hastings. (You don’t need to be part of an specific industry or have a fancy job title. Any occupation is eligible!)

-Under the age of 40 when joining your first year.

-Desire to make fun and impact projects happen in Hastings.
